Communication
When you schedule a flight for your site(s), that flight mission gets distributed to our network of Part 107 Licensed Pilots.
The pilot that will fly your mission will reach out to the site contact listed for the site. This should take place within 24 hours of them accepting the mission.
Additionally, they should be reaching out to the site contact at least 24-28 hours ahead of the scheduled flight in order to coordinate arrival time and any check-in procedures.
Note: it is critical that the site contacts communicate with pilots. This is especially true for locations with any special arrival procedures or site specific training. If the pilot leaves a voicemail, it is important that the site contact calls the pilot back.
Aerial Page Schedule Overview
After you have scheduled the site(s) that you want to have inventory counts performed with a drone, your scheduled flights will populate on the Aerials page. You can access that page by clicking on the “Aerials” tab in the top right corner of the Stockpile Reports web portal.
Once you’re on the Aerials page, you’ll see the list of your scheduled and completed flights under the Full-Service Aerials section.
You can track the progress of a scheduled flight by following the timeline from left to right.
Scheduled: this shows the requested date of the flight. If there is a green checkmark, this means the pilot has confirmed their receipt of the flight. Click to view this page for more information on scheduling inventory flights.
Flown: this is the date that the flight was completed. This date can sometimes differ from the scheduled date due to rescheduling for events such as weather or emergencies. If there is a green checkmark, this means the flight was performed by the pilot.
Uploaded: this indicates if Stockpile Reports has received the images from the flight yet or not. If there is a green checkmark, we have received the images.
Piles tagged: this indicates whether we have received the pile tags for this flight. We use pile tags from you to know what piles you want measurements of. Click to view this page for more information about tagging piles.
Piles processed: if there is a grey click icon, that means we are processing your submitted pile tags. If there is a green checkmark, that means we have processed your submitted pile tags and generated your measurement reports. Click the “View” link to see your reports.
